Winter fitness with adidas | My most-used pieces of kit

adidas t shirt yoga trousers and black gazelle shoes

I think it’s harder to get motivated to exercise in winter, but there’s still plenty of the year left, so this post is me checking in with myself so I don’t just collape into a heap for the rest of the year.

Go to the gym Joanne! You know you want to! And you’re always glad when you’ve done it.

Right, that’s me told.

I also wanted to look back over some of the adidas gear I’ve been using and see which pieces I’m getting the most use out of and which have stood the test of time. These are pieces I chose as part of my membership of the adidas blogger community. How that works is that I was sent vouchers to choose whatever would work best for me from the adidas range. You can see some of my previous adidas collaborations here.

In truth, there’s nothing that I’m not still using, but some pieces naturally see more action than others. I think these are real investment pieces. If you’re looking for a gift for a fitness fan that will actually get used, maybe these will give you some ideas? (Where the exact item isn’t still available I have linked to the category so you can see similar items).

My top 5 pieces of most-used adidas kit are:

Weightlifting gloves

These training gloves make such a difference when you’re lifting weights. Get some for the strength training devotee in your life.

Terrex outdoor walking boots

I think I will be wearing these Terrex walking shoes forever. They’re just really comfortable and a classic style that won’t date. Shout out to the bag and water bottle too, which still get used very regularly. Gift-wise I don’t think you can go wrong with a nice water bottle, who doesn’t need more water?

Future heroes black t shirt

I have several t shirts from the Future Heroes range and must have worn and washed them dozens of times. They’re really hard-wearing and always come up like new.

The tiny adidas bag!

I love this tiny bag so much, or to give it its proper title, it’s a festival bag. Not actually taken it to a festival yet, but it’s brilliant for gigs and nights out. This bag has been to see The National, The Jesus and Mary Chain and many more. Because I do have a life outside the gym y’know. Everything in moderation (except wine and chocolate peanuts, but that’s another story…).

Stella McCartney Ultraboost 20 shoes

Been wearing these Ultraboosts for about 18 months now and they still look like new and are as comfy as a cloud.
