A bit about me

I’m Joanne, a 50something Belfast-born, Brighton-based writer, podcaster and career coach, mother of two and author of seven self help books. My most recent books are Change Your Life in 5 Minutes a Day and Find Your Why. My newest book, How to Find Joy in 5 Minutes a Day, is out now. You might have seen me recently in Psychologies Magazine, Woman and Home, Sainsburys Magazine or the Daily Telegraph. I’m currently working on my next book, a guide to being calm, which comes out in October 2023.

I also present the wellbeing podcast 5 Minutes to Change Your Life (a top 5 UK self improvement podcast, recently recommended by both Woman and Woman’s Weekly magazines).

When I’m not working you’ll find me lifting weights:

Reviews on this blog

The main thing about this blog is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. The over all theme is Healthy Lifestyle, so that can include anything I’m currently geeking out about. I aim for a positive tone and I only really review stuff that I think is worth my readers’ attention.

Anything I write about is covered honestly and truthfully with an independent opinion. Reviews on my blog are a mixture of things I’ve bought or experienced, and things I’ve been sent free of charge for the purposes of review.

Brands previously featured on this blog include:

weightlifting for women aged 50+ with adidas
