Christmas has come slightly early here at Opposable Thumbs towers, as the postie turned up with a lovely lovely advent calendar courtesy of The Body Shop.

Calendar time
As with previous years, there are three different Body Shop advent calendars for 2023, from regular to large to mega sized.
At the time of writing, the one I’m showing you today, Advent of Wonders (RRP £59) is available online and instore. The middle sized one, Big Advent of Wonders (RRP £95) is currently on limited stock and is not available online so you’ll have to look instore for it. The biggest calendar, Ultimate Advent of Wonders (RRP £145), is only available instore.
So if you want a Body Shop advent calendar you can order and get delivered online, then Advent of Wonders it is.

The box itself is super cute (without being cutesy) with a sweet festive pop up scene on top. Gift-wise I think this is a safe bet for all ages, particularly for anyone who enjoys natural scents and is picky about the ethics of the products they use.

What do you think of that?
As you can see it’s a nice selection of Body Shop bath, shower and skincare favourites. Personally I love the Body Shop shower gels, they have a really strong scent to wake you up in the morning and leave both you and your bathroom smelling delicious. The pink grapefruit is a particular favourite in my house.

One thing I always love about Body Shop advent calendars is that they have a deeper message, and this year it’s about celebrating small acts of positive change, whether that’s fair trade ingredients or more recyclable packaging.
The aim is to make this a gift of change both for the recipient, but also for the communities involved in producing it and ultimately for the planet.
