Recently I noticed a big influx of new listeners and followers for my podcast 5 Minutes to Change Your Life. I figured we’d hit a good spot in the algorithms or something equally random. You never can tell as a podcaster. You’re just happy that somebody’s listening.
But no! It turns out that it’s not that at all.
I’m delighted to say that popular positivity magazine Happiful has featured the podcast in its monthly list of 10 enriching wellbeing recommendations to try.
What an honour to be included. As an independent podcast creator, things like this really do make a big difference. Many thanks to all at Happiful and especially Lauren who wrote the feature.
BTW as well as being a magazine, Happiful exists in a free digital format which you can subscribe to here.
And while I’m on the subject of podcasts, if there’s an independent show that you enjoy, it would really make the creator’s day if you leave them a rating and a nice review. It’s free to do, can be done in under a minute and is a great way to support someone who’s making stuff for you to enjoy.
As we’re coming towards the end of the year, taking a couple of minutes to appreciate the people who made stuff you liked this year is a great thing to do. It’s a random act of kindness and gratitude. Creators are aware that not everyone can be a Patreon supporter or chuck a few quid in the Kofi bucket, but there are plenty of other ways to show your support. How will you support an independent creator today?
