Eye make-up remover – I know, it’s a bit boring, right? Not this one. How cool is this:
What you’re seeing here is the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Eye Make-up Remover. Little individually sealed vials of eye make-up remover, like it’s from some sort of pixie’s laboratory in space. A very stylish pixie, obviously. In a white coat. In space. (That’s a Doctor Who pre-title sequence right there).
I’m sure you know La Roche-Posay, as the French pharmacy brand has a strong worldwide fan base. They’re probably best known for the Redermic range of retinol-based products, a great night care range for treating fine lines (and while we’re on the subject, check out the brand new filler just added to that range, Redermic C10). The Toleriane eye make-up remover is one of the lesser known stars of the brand.
To use, detach a vial, twist off the plastic top then squeeze out the liquid on to cotton wool and use it to sweep off your eye make up. The only slightly criticism I have is that there is slightly too much in each vial – if they were resealable then you could probably get two uses out of each one, but they’re not. The 5ml of liquid is enough to thoroughly soak two cotton wool pads, so you can be ultra hygienic and use a fresh pad for each eye.
It removes all eye make-up, even disco lashes and glitter, very effectively and thoroughly without rubbing. It’s specially formulated for people with sensitive eyes who are prone to allergies, and therefore is gentle, non-perfumed and preservative free. It feels watery rather than oily as eye make-up removers can sometimes be.
What these sterile single doses are brilliant for is travelling, so if you’re going away you can simply take as many vials as you’ll need for your trip and dispose of them as you go. Yes you could take a normal, boring type of eye make-up remover or you could go for something which marks you out as a supercool dude who probably holidays on the moon or something. Also, no eye irritation. Win win.
Toleriane Eye Make-up Remover by La Roche-Posay contains 30 x 5ml individually sealed vials and is widely available online and in high street stores such as Boots, RRP £14.50.
