Recently I’ve been trying out two new products from Nakin’s range of natural anti-ageing skincare. I first discovered Nakin at the start of 2018. Since then the company has expanded and is now available at Ocado and many other outlets.
Nakin is an independent, innovative UK brand specialising in anti-ageing products using natural ingredients backed up by scientific (but not tested on animals) research.

Nakin’s Matt Formula Face Cream is an unusual one because the glowy look is so in that you just don’t see too many products around that are devoted to mattifying. This is one for you if you have oily skin, and already have enough natural glow that you don’t need extra from your products.
Key ingredients include:
- Baobab, argan, jojoba and sunflower seed oil
- Vitamin E
- Pomegranate extract
- Hyaluronic acid
As you can see, there are natural moisturising oils in there, but the formula is still very lightweight. It enhances your natural glow without being shiny, so the look is more matte than other moisturisers without being flat and dull.
Nakin’s Lip Treatment Balm is the sort of lip balm you’d put on overnight for amped up moisturising. I’ve been using it in conjunction with Fresh Sugar Lip Wonder Drops (for exfoliation) and they really do sort out dry, flaky lips. I haven’t succumbed to putting the central heating yet, but when I do and the air becomes dryer I can see this being a real help for fried skin.
Key ingredients include:
- Shea Butter
- Mint
- Argan, baobab, and sunflower seed oil
- Marigold flower extract
And most importantly, no petrolatum, which is the ingredient found in many lip balms that can actually dry lips out.
I’m very impressed with the way Nakin have managed to keep their ingredients natural and their prices affordable. The products pack the punch of a more expensive brand.
