Lush Advent Calendar 2019 contents revealed

Notoriously pungent skin and body care specialists Lush are doing something different with their advent calendar this year.

First of all, the beautiful calendar itself is practically a work of art. Twenty four Lush products are housed in a reusable chest made out of recycled materials. It’s handmade in the UK and limited to only 500 available. So although we’re a long way from the festive season, if you’re interested in the Lush Advent calendar 2019 then don’t hang around. It goes on sale at the end of August.

To reduce excess packaging, the calendar uses what it calls Lush Lens technology. Rather than scanning inserts for information, customers will instead be able to scan the products themselves. Even the box itself can be scanned to learn more about the stories behind it.

And what’s inside the Lush Advent Calendar 2019? You’ll find 24 full size products, including 5 retro products from the Lush vault.

Each Lush Advent Calendar contains:

  • Polar Bear Plunge Bath Bomb
  • Happy Shower Gel
  • Fairytale Sugar Scrub
  • Night Bloom Soap
  • Snowflake Body Lotion
  • Golden Pear Glow stick
  • Midnight Massage Bar
  • Candy Cane Tooth Jelly
  • Sleepy Dust Dusting Powder
  • Jingle Spells Bath Bomb
  • Galaxy Lip Scrub
  • Ponche Shower Gel
  • Red Lipstick & Sundry
  • Pop Art bath bomb
  • Warm Sock Bath Melt
  • Butterbear Soap
  • Yog Nog Shower Gel
  • Snowman Dreaming Bath Bomb
  • Rudolfs Nose Shower Bomb
  • Christmas Eve Bubble Bar
  • Retro Tree Bath Melt,
  • Santas Grotto Bath Bomb,
  • Holly Fun
  • Santas Bubble Wand.

All of this does not come cheap, and this is not one of those calendars where you get a high value for your initial spend. The calendar retails at £195, which covers the cost of the full size contents. So if you tend to treat yourself to the Lush Christmas range then this is one way to get it all in one go.

Personally I prefer variety in an advent calendar, but if you’re a fan of the brand, or you’re buying for someone who is then this is a lovely special treat. I like the nod towards reducing waste and excess packaging. Hopefully this will set a lead for more brands to follow.
