And here’s the fourth Memebox that arrived along with the Scent Bundle – Global Box #14. Let’s face it, the last Memebox Global beauty box wasn’t the best. They put frickin Tampax in there FFS. So this month the company has a lot to do to redeem itself.
Just to remind you, Memeboxes are not subscription boxes, they are Korean beauty boxes you order individually, though you will often have to wait a long time because they sell out months in advance. The global boxes are sent out on the 24th of every month and contain a mix of skin care, hair care and make up. They’re considered to be the best Memeboxes available. They usually retail at $23 plus shipping, but you can generally bring that down a bit with discount codes – I’ve listed the latest codes at the bottom of this post.
So, Global Box #14, what do we have?
Praise be, it’s tons of great stuff!
There are 8 products listed, most of which are full size. Some of them contain multiples, so it’s more like 15 individual items valued at $150. And for this I paid $14.99! That’s £9 in old money. Score!
- Shower Mate Perfume de Whip Body Wash (two @ 50ml, $4 each)
Love the retro Marilyn Monroe images on these shower gels. Floral scented and a handy travel size. - Sally’s Box 4 mask set ($14)
One apple mask and 3 hydrogel masks containing a mix of herbal ingredients designed to hydrate. These are different from the usual sheet masks in that they’re opaque, close fitting gel masks. A new way to terrify your family! - Beauty People Waterproof Gel Liner in Glimmer Coral ($38)
She’s back! Grumpy Snow White, as seen in the Cute box. Since I already have a set of these eyeliners I’ve given this to my daughter who is doing pretty well for beauty supplies these days. - Good-Bye Black Smudge Waterproof Button Liner ($16)
I was a bit bemused by this, since I’ve never lined my buttons before, but it turns out to be the sort of solid black eyeliner that stays on your eyelids all day and never budges. You could be six months dead and this would still be on your face. Not recommended for painting a moustache on your child, unless you want somebody to call social services. - Kocostar 4 mask package set ($20)
This head to toe mask set is a lovely idea, as it includes everything from a foot peeling mask to an intensive hair treatment. There are 36 tiny spot masks for somebody who’s have a REALLY bad breakout. I wore the fingernail masks whilst watching The Great British Bake Off. Rock n roll baby! - Sua Young Mineral Essence Liquid Foundation (5g sample, value $5.67)
A risky inclusion, since foundation inevitably isn’t going to suit everybody, but this has a lovely texture and applies really well. Keeping it for my holidays. - Recipe by Nature Golden Time Vita Capsule Essence (40ml, $42)
Looks like a posh perfume but is actually supercharged essence designed to nourish and balance the skin. Quite oily consitency so I’m saving this as a winter night treatment. - a;t fox Fantasy Holic Lip & Cheek Designer Pencil in Lovely Coral ($7)
Sort of like a Korean version of Clinique’s Chubby Stick. I already have one of these because it came as part of a make up set in global box #7 and it’s a bit too pink in tone for me so I might have to save it for when I’m drawing on the kids.
All in all I am really pleased with this box and the range of products included. I’ve cut right back on my Memebox buying, but I just heard that the next box on its way contains Tibetan Mushroom neck cream – wow! Just wow! See, this is why I don’t buy Glossybox.
The Global box shown above is now sold out, but if you like the look of this I would recommend investing in the bundle of boxes #17-#19, as it will save you a lot on shipping, or the next single box currently available is Global Box #17. Plus a whole load of other themed boxes on their site.
Please leave a comment and tell me what you think of this box. If you are thinking about buying a Memebox and aren’t sure what to chose I’m happy to help.
I bought this box with my own money.
